I liked this a lot, more than the others of yours I've read now. (I've been reading up the list.) I liked the photograph metaphor a lot, especially with the line about airbrushing out imperfections. I don't know why, exactly, but this just flowed better and made me think, and I like it because of that. You made some very good points and portrayed emotion well.

patchwork can easily be more beautiful than a "whole" fabric... I like the extended metaphor here, and especially the first two lines are poignant. You could probably have a stronger rhythmic sense here, but it really is optional-something to think about. I like it-keep writing!
