for An Accident?

Hello there :)

Okay, firstly, I'm going to say I'm not religious. I don't believe in some aspects of the Bible, but that's just my opinion, and I completely respect all your beliefs. My best friend is devoutely religious, so I would never judge that. Personally, I do hope there is something else out there, but I don't want to get into a debate about it all.

I do want to say, however, that I do really like this poem. The sarcasm running throughout it is chuckle-worthy. You never actually *mentioned* the theory of evolution etc, but it was clear that was what you were referring to. It was very clever. Your voice was very powerful, and so is the message. Whether those who believe in evolution think that the creation of life was an "accident" is debatable, but I don't want to get into that either. What I will say, however, is that you definitely added a interesting point of view to the whole debate. It is a very personal, powerful voice and I like that. The emotion just leaps from the page :)

Anyway, great writing! Thanks for posting :)

Good job my sister. He does love us, doesn't he? Regardless of who we are and what we've done... It's amazing. I myself do not believe in the typical evolution theories where the earth was created through the Big Bang, but I do believe that animals do adapt to the their surroundings.. but not the extent, using an example here, where apes evolved into humans... God created us and He loves us so very much. I pray that He continues to use you to bring others to know Him.Much love and God bless,Your sister in Christ,~Wolfie

Okay, first I must say that I am an atheist (don't you dare try to save me), but that I will be mostly fair to you in this review. This starts really strong, but ends more like chopped up prose than smooth poetry with line breaks, as the beginning. Second, the assumption that someone who doesn't believe in God thinks that the universe was "accidental" is rather presumptuous. I, as an atheist, do believe in the big bang and evolution, but who are you to say that this is something accidental? Just to make this last big clear, I feel the need to poit out to you that people who do not believe in God or that Jesus was his son do not want to be saved.Still, though I strongly disagree with you, I reiterate that this is strong work. I'd read a paper about this subject if you were the author! Nice work.

As agent says, we are reading between your lines. You said you never mentioned evolution, "not once", but you continuously complain about people thinking life is "an accident". Since most people who like to try to put God in a box misinterpret evolution to state that life is an accident, I just figured that's what you were doing here.

uh-huh... i guess that's a popular theory, although I can't say I believe it myself... but anyway, nicely written.

thank you, agent slayer, for your pompous, university-sounding review. Reading behind your lines, behind your impressive vocabulary, you are struggling to find what is right in front of you-Jesus. I am just a KID right now, thank you, but i will study theology, and HISTORY to find the facts that prove Jesus is Lord. So, again THANK YOU for your LOVELY review, and I dare you to prove that Jesus wasn't Lord with FACTS, then come talk to me.

Christ is like the wind. One must feel it in order to realize it is there. I'm so thankful I've come to know Christ as my Savior. Awesome write keep spreading the word. God Bless!

I love the pretension. Really, I do. You're evangelizing through your work and seem to be trying pretty hard to be controversial. And all the reviews that are talking about your obvious distaste for the evolution theory-it's all about self expression, don't you understand? We can read between the lines through your work and find out all we ever needed to know about you. I think that you should study theology as well-might give you some perspective.

Way to stand up for your faith and not be influenced by peers. I like your writing and I hope to see more! Email me anytime.

HAHAHAHAHAlol you cant exactly call the creation of the universe an "accident". this stuff just happens. im sry, lol but to base your entire belief system on things that have little to no proof of ever happening, just because you dont want to ever accept that we just might be here by chance because that would be "extremely depressing", is kinda immature,in my opinion...oh, lol and one more thing. if god loves EVERYONE, then gays should be allowed to marry. if gays arent allowed, then you and everyone else whos a hypocrite should just say that blacks, hispanics, and everyone else white people have a problem with shouldnt be allowed to marry either. and if there really was a heaven, trust me, no one on earth would be going there...lol sorry thats just how i feel

Why is it impossible to think that the world is pointless? How is THAT more impossible than the belief that there's someone/something watching over us to make sure we're all okay? Just because you've been fed the beliefs you stated in your poem since birth doesn't make it true. You should really go out on your own and look into the theory of the big bang and evolution and et cetera, on your own, without the interpretations of people who think like you do, and, to be fair, without the interpretations of people who think like I do. Because right now, its pretty evident that you know next to nothing about your own belief system aside from that those around you have have the same beliefs.

You are so uninformed. There doesn't have to be a point to anything; that's the beauty of life. But obviously you are too blinded by things you've been told since you were three years old to ask any of the unanswerable questions of life, and obviously your writing skills are too horrendous to produce any adequately entertaining if not well-written poetry. God hates the ignorant.

I really, really like this poem...I'm a Christain too and it really explains how the "big bang theory" isn't true...that there has to be a creator somewhere. Nice job!

Nice poem! And it fully expresses a belief of mine; there's no way that the universe can be made from just an 'accident'.. God must've at least influenced creation if not done all of it Himself.

Ah, I'm sorry about my poem; I mean, it wasn't about Christianity at all, even though it makes that implication. It's about a man who rules over a nation and believes he's God, so he destroys everyone else. Which is wrong, very wrong. No one else is God except our Lord, and the poem is one big sarcastic metaphor. Er.. just wanted to try to clarify that.

Yes, wonderous poem you wrote.

Such a good poem! And it's soo true! I believe that God intended the world to form the way it did and everything, and people who say that God does not exist are absolutly CRAZY!
