I love this universe and the stories in it... But i can't help thinking that the behaviour indicates a parasitic microbe is influencing the characters' brains... Think about it, individuals feel unexplainable attraction to each other, even to the point of overriding conscious decision and thought, even driving them to drop their whole lives. Then there is the scale, at first it is a small attraction, possibly due to microbes in the surrounding area encountering a body that can support them, explaining the specific requirements between mates, later the mates join hands, which causes multiple microbes to be transferred via skin-skin contact greatly increasing the attraction, then the claiming occurs and there is a massive transver between blood and saliva, depending on which way the coupling goes, bringing it to the point that it physically hurts to be away from each other, possibly due to a network of microbes in the air which send specific signals when apart. In addition the way the species has both males and females yet both reproduces via same-sex relationships which makes gender redundant, therefore suggesting that the parasite has modified it's bearer's bodies such that they are reliant on it, and it is in the parasite's best interests to ensure that there are 'dominant' individuals in each relationship to protect it's specific genes and pass them on.
Anyway i will deliberately disregard this when reading the rest, i want to see this as just innocent (or not so innocent) stories of couples.

wow. 5 years abandoned. *shakes head* why don't you two ever finish anything? just asking. It's something I've noticed and was just curious. this is or was a good story.

Ah, there is not so much left to the end... And I wanted so badly to know Xabi'a's cat-form...
I sincerely hope that someday, you will finish this story as well as the other Zercan ones...
Concerning Xabi'a's stuttering, I just wanted to point out that maybe it became just a tad bit too much. I actually know someone in RL who stutters, and it's not like they stutter 5 times on every word, and I think it's a little bit less regular either. What I mean is that Xabi'a always seems to stutter the same way. But I guess it's not really that important for the story, just wanted to convey how it felt for me. (How it was in the first chapters was fine for me, in fact, and fairly easy to read too)

(and by the way, beware of the French spies... XD Ah well, as long as it's good-atured teasing ;) we love you too ^^)

I didn't realise I hadn't reviewed this story yet. Simply: I LOVE this fic! The characters are fantastic, Xabi'a is adorable/cute and Cade is hot and charming as the strong protector. *g*
The world you have created is also fasinating and very intriguing. A nice twist on the Mpreg tale so congratulations! My two favourite things have been inserted into one fabulous tale: cats and mpreg.
I hope you continue this fic whenever you are able!
