Sweet poem. He would've liked it.
It's always such a difficult situation, the loss of a parent, and I'm among the privileged that didn't have to go through that. However, from the people I have lost, if it's worth anything, I can tell you that in a sense, he is alive in the fond memories you have of him. When your birthday comes, enjoy it. That's the way he would've wanted you to be.
