To be honest, I thought this was a bit trite when I first started reading, but the ending was good. Very good, in fact. It's like a rebellion against all those cliched horror stories that end with the protagonist eaten by some stereotypical monster. Great job.

If there are so many of these essays floating around, why is it that every story I read has all of these problems? Maybe there should be even more of these essays going around, because you need it, as well as everyone else who claims they want something published on this site.
In your review, you lost all credibility with your spelling errors for a mere two sentences. I guess you didn't pay much attention to what I was saying.

I'm sorry, I don't think you exactly caught the message of my writing. It has nothing to do with holy ground. It belonged to native americans first anyway. What I'm trying to say is that this is a beautiful, special place in America that should be preserved not for religious reasons, but because a natural phenomenon occurs only in that place once a year, and if condos are built there, than this phenomenon will never be seen again. It is unique and should be preserved.

What I'm trying to say is that this is a beautiful, special place in America that should be preserved not for religious reasons, but because a natural phenomenon occurs only in that place once a year, and if condos are built there, than this phenomenon will never be seen again. It is unique and should be preserved.

Um, I read this a while ago, and I noticed one of the reviews stuck out in my mind. I went and read ValkyrieRavenfeahter's work, and I have to say I agree with her. It looks to me like you're just sore over the fact that she disagreed with your view on gay rights. In reading her essay on gay rights, you went against your vow not to review gay rights pieces, although hers was more of out of anger of an e mail her grandmother sent. I have lost any sort of respect for you that I could have possibly have. Good day to you,Rae

I don't think I was being stereotypical in "Southern Decadence and Hurricane Katrina." Did I say "those Christians are homophobes and will blame gays for anything?" No! I said "Repent America, a Christian group, is homophobic." Perhaps you never bothered to really pay attention to what I was saying. I wouldn't blame ALL Christians for Repent America's biased statements! I'm a Christian myself! Several friends are also Christian, so why would I suggest such a thing? All I tried to do was put out the information that this evil group who uses God's name to commit xenophobic acts was sending out an e-mail blaming me and the rest of the LGBT community for Hurricane Katrina! Never did I say all Christians were members of this group. Maybe you should read more carefully before you blame me of being stereotypical in my views of Christians.

Um, yea...I have no idea who left that review...or why they kept using the phrase "we", but either way I'm kind of interested myself, in what strength your threats have when you say "dont you dare bring it up again"

I(Raptor) just wanted to let you know, for your information, I said this PHASE of the war is over, I didn't say the war was over. If i feel liking voicing another opinion on it, I will.
