An interesting beginning.

I think the settings are very good. Although maybe I would preferred if you divided the scenes somehow. Maybe with the use of lines or something. But the setting was very good.

The characters I don't have a defined view on yet. They seem somehow cliché, especially James. But there is a better definition of his thoughts that usually seen which outweigh the cliché of him, I think.

Hey, no prob about not getting through Bonnie Blue Flag yet, it is very long! Anyway, thanks for clarifying, that is really interesting, I didn't know about Eisenhower. I like Marie's interaction with James even more this chapter, so extremely sweet. Great job, the plan of him meeting his mistrees should prove to be interesting, I hope it works! Update soon please

Wow, I really like this story! I almost don't want James to go back to his post, because he and Marie seem to be hitting it off. Though, maybe they can write to each other while he is gone, that would be sweet - because though I said I was almost sorry he'd be leaving, I'm glad, because he'll be a hero-if he survives! Anyway, I think my favorite character is Pierre Malreaux. He is awesome. Mitch is cool too, and though James was so piggish when he couldn't figure out that girl's name in the begining, I like him now too. I noticed one thing, though, it might be right or it might be wrong, but Pierre said, "...the fact that your man Eisenhower seems to be..." Isn't James English? So technically it isn't *his* man, if you get what I mean. Great story, I want to read the rest soon!
