This is quite beautiful. I love the imagery in this. It's amazing. I didn't care for the last sentence, but every one before it was five-star. I especially loved the whole stretching of the jaw thing. Saying 'rain' like that makes me think of a yawn, which is kinda what I associate rain with. I like it when it rains, but it's like a good day to just relax and take it easy and not really do anything. The sound of the drops falling and pouncing off the roof is quite meditative.
Excellent little piece.

Wow, this is great! It's a simple yet beautiful thought, love how its so honest in the way that you just put whatever you feel into words, like "r – a – y – n – e - stretches my jaw as if I’m trying to steal the droplets, before they melt into the soil". It's beautiful!:) One of the nicer pieces I've read on rain...
But I agree with the other reviewer though, maybe it would be even lovelier in poetry form? In any case, well done! Keep writing!

Makes me wish it would rain... everything's so dry now, and the sky will get dark but not rain... i don't know why. Brilliant job on this. Just beautiful.
