thought I would go back a bit and see some of your earlier work. this one is good, a very creative take on describing a force of nature, well at least in a contemporary sense, though the ancient Greeks would have related easily to the personification. it is well written, the rhyming is light and works well.nicely done, maybe you will have something new for the new year.

Nice extended personification/metaphor! I like it when you compare Hurricane Katrina to a gallant lady in a grey dress (now black at the end). Nice usage of mythical characters in the poem. How touching.

I really like the way you portrayed "Katrina" as an indivdual actually WALKING onto the shore, and her dress ruining everything in return. Make sure you have the correct puncuation for the "Oh miss Katrina" parts you included in there: miss would be capitolized and it would be "Oh, Miss Katrina". But no big deal- everyone makes mistakes! ^^

Thatw as really good. With al;l the stuff that you read about Katrina, on this site or others, I really think that you summed it up (the events that took place) the best. It was a tragedy, and your creative writing put an interesting twist on it. I did like it, a lot. Thanks. ~P'Dale Buddy out
