Usually I dislike this style of writing, but this is very much the exception that proves the rule. I absolutely love this to death. It's fantastic. You said everything you wanted to say without hitting the reader over the head, it wasn't melodramatic, and it was detatched enough to just let the reader identify with you, not just understand what you're saying. Excellent piece. More.
