Interesting story. However for some reason, maybe it's your writing, or maybe it's my personality - I'm sympathising with Earth, dispite that they are obviously intended as bad guys in your story. I'm waiting to see how it all develops. I especially want to know what IS the reason this planet is being evacuated? Would be ironic if it really wasn't safe, and the people would all die for their refusal to come to Earth.
