Animal cruelty is horrible. I felt badly that Kathryn had to give up the ruby, but it shows what kind of person she is since she did it to save the poor horse. I think she's going to be good for the children, too. This is very well written and I'm already hooked. I love slow-building romances. Good luck with the publishing of your book!

Kathryn only hoped the two trouble makers knew how to keep one."
*g* That's a great line to close a very cute chapter. I like how this story doesn't fit the typical romance plotline of girl meets boy. There's a lot more going on here.

Just as i expected - amazing! This story is written just as beautifully as the rest of your stories, and holds just as much magic. You've been on my favourite author list for over a year now, ever since i started reading "The Broken Road."
I loved your work then and i still love it. You put so much description into your writing, your characters always seem to be real and alive, and your writing flows, so that i concentrate fully on what youo've written, not how you've written it.

I really like this story along with some of your others. Keep up the good work! I don't know if you've already got the rest of the story planned, but I think that you should have Emily become best friends with Kathryn and David more reserved but turn out to be the most loyal and best friend anyone can ever hope for. Say that his mother doesn't like the job Kathryn is doing but David stands up for her or something.

I can just see the chaos in that classroom! That's got to be one fun way to learn French!
I continue to be intrigued by these characters. Kathryn has some dark secret in her past. I can't decide if Lord Belmoor is a playboy or just being nice. Why would Lady Belmoor seem so severe and yet be so permissive with her children? And when can we see more of her brother?
I freely admit I love governess stories and I'm looking forward to reading more of this one. Your writing talent is really coming out more and more with every story you write. I keep liking every one just a little bit more than the last.

This is a gorgeous opening chapter with just the right mix of action, character backstory and description.
I feel like I can see everybody and know what they're doing there, but there's still a lot more to learn. I'm looking forward to reading more.
