Woah...what very interesting facts. How terrible the world would be if that spell were true. More than once do people long for the convenience of short-cuts that they fail to fortell the consequences.
Yet I still can't help but feel a longing for your friends' story to be true. I would have gotten so many things I wanted, so many things I wish I never got. Anyway, interesting topic. It was a worthwhile read to pass the time.

oh, wow. im just so glad i took the time to read this! it is absoultely gripping and fasinating thoughts. you put forward a very compelling point, showing both sides of the spell- but the most effective part is the thought provoking nature of it all.really, this has already got me thinking ...and i understand, it sounds so delicous to just be able to draw what we want and then have it- but then you'r right, the abuse that would follow. and while i was reading i thought how cool it'd be to get the one you liked like you, ( no more unrequited love!)- but then that paragraph: "The imposing of emotion on one’s spirit is ridiculous too. If people could control the feelings of one another, then everyone would be like puppets. It would be as if no one would be in command of their own souls. It would be so gloomy."- just send me back down to earth. id never thought of it that way- but it is a very true point. still, as your thoughts at the end hint to- it is all the same an extremly tantalising idea, one that ( if it were true) im not so sure i could resist all too well. brilliant piece, i applaud you. sorry for going on!
