I knew my grandmother really well. When she died I didn't cry either, though, at least not for her. I spent days wondering if I even had emotions, that when a person that close to me died all I could think about was how I didn't want to die.
I do not, however, like your ending. It seems to me that most of your endings are like the endings of essays, short punchy re-packagings of the story.
This may be a matter of preference though. Nothing's really wrong with having endings like that...have to end these things somehow...I just don't like to have the stories I read explained to me at the end. I like to have to work it all out for m'self.

wow, i can totally relate to this... it was incredible. it made me cry. wow. i really liked it, i can't pinpoint why, but i did. it was awesome. thanks.
