Loved this last chapter. I really don't think Buddy did it, and I'm kind of suss about Diane. She could be using her affection toward Michael - and Roque - to get suspicion off her. I adore Michael's mother and poor Sergei. And well, I really enjoyed this last chapter. Babs and Charlie were hilarious, and Gina, damn, what a showoff.
I'll be awaiting more!

So it does... If Roque was guilty, it would be a sad, sad moment indeed. He was kind to Manda. That would be a twist.
Buddy's mom comes into the picture. Yikes. I hope he gets arrested again. He's a fishy one.
Ah, and Michael can't ask Manda to marry him. Now THAT... That's tragic. Maybe in a sudden turn of events Manda will somehow turn the tables..?

I get the feeling that the police and the chess tournament officials might be all in on getting Manda into trouble, but I'm probably way off. I love Michael in police mode. Definitely seems like something he should do.

WOW. this is one impressive story! I guess I have to read the other ones first but I don't work like that. lol
first of all, Maxwell is an idiot! I don't like him at all. mind you he sort of brings this opposite element in. that dosen't really make sense but hey! that's my logic.

secondly, as I said this is a fantastic story! I'll probably keep up with this one and read the others. sound ok? I'll probably do an over-all summary type reveiw at the end of each story.

There's only one thing I can say about Maxwell and that is: what a jerk! He really is a vindicitive piece of work! I hope Michael doesn't put much stock into promises. They're not hard to break for the right reasons.

Seeing as you left a review on my story, I decided to extend you the same courtesy.
I found a few spelling mistakes, and the odd place where a word was left out, but other than that, this is great. I enjoyed reading the other Manda Rider stories, so it's a treat to have another one.
The chess tournament I love. I hate chess. I don't understand it one bit. But it always seems so mysterious. And I love that it's Manda who can't play, but needs to enter to win the money to help out her dad. Too many people would have written her type of character being able to play.
I can't believe she's been set up! I'm kind of convinced her father knows something is going on. And seeing as I love a man with an accent, Michael just seems to get better looking. The addition of Diane knowing Michael is great. There's already a tension between him and Manda, so it'll add a bit more, which should make him proposing interesting - and probably cause Manda to actually admit her true feelings. The chemistry between them is great. I love how random Michael is.
Anyway, I'm sure I've rambled enough. I'll be awaiting the next installment. :D

Oh crap! How is she going to explain this one? And what is Michael going to think? Is he going to doubt her? And why would they need to frame Manda to get her out of the chest tornamount? What else is going on there?

That was a cute romance scene between Michael and Manda. WHEN IS HE GOING TO POP THE QUESTION! Haha, I'm pretty sure that Manda's dad took out all those gray dresses.
Roque seems like an honest character. I hope he develops a good relationship with Manda. Lyndi would scare the socks off of me too. [Or pantyhose in Manda's case?] I hope Manda kicks her a-...butt. Then again, we have to wonder, who is the bad guy?
And along comes the bad mayor... It's pretty sad when government officials are corrupt. Of course this has to do with the prize money, right? Ah, well I'll just have to wait. Though, the major cliffhanger question to me is," What did Manda's father ask her to do?"

Whohoo. Another one. AND I'm not so far behind that it takes me all night to catch up like I am on many other people's stories. I don't know what to say yet, I like it so far. Interesting setting for a mystery but if anyone can pull it off I reckon you can. Keep up the good work.
Btw, I have managed to update "Brenda" and plan to update at least once a fortnight now that I have got into my working routine.
