Though not ending the way I had wanted, this short story stirkes a chord of pride inside readers with high moral fiber. After all, parasitism is viewed by many as a negative trait, yes? Either way, I suppose the real reason I am dropping a review on this is to say congratulations. Were it a true story, I am sure that the narrator's go-to guy (if we is, in fact, the admirable person she always thought he was) should be quite ashamed to have missed out on such a transition for a tough young woman like this one. Good read.
