for Where are you Christmas?

I hear that. I'm not a Christian, but I never felt that Christmas was all about the religious aspect. It IS supposed to be about giving, no matter what religion you practice.

To whimsy: It is indeed true that the date of Christmas is because of a "pagan" holiday. No one really knows the date when Christ was born. The date of Easter is also a pagan holiday. That is why you see baby animals and eggs. It was a celebration of life and fertility. ~Turquoise~

you, Rousseau, and Thomas Hobbs all agree on something. humans are self-centered and corupt. however, that's human nature, and complaining about it won't make it go away.

anway, I'm not suprised to hear that Walmart did something like this. Considering how terribly they pay their employees, the expulsion of the radio station from their parking lot really isn't suprising. However, you've got to realize that if it wasn't for Walmart's low prices, then some poor kids wouldn't even get presents.

anyway, good essay.

Christmas is not what is used to be. Take a good look at the Christmas cards now-a-days that are on the shelves. Things are changing big time. I have a feeling we haven't seen nothing yet. I enjoyed this very much. Sad in ways, but an awesome write. Merry Christmas to ya hope ya have a great New Year. God Bless!

Why is Wal-Mart evil?

WalMart is evil. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Aside from that, meh, one of my rather anti-christians once told me that the Catholics stole the date for Christmas offa some pagan holiday. Whether or not that's true, I haven't a clue. But a thought.

Nontheless, Christmas has become a little something, ah, more than the birth of Christ. I believe the concept of gifts was what brought it down. But, well, people will be people, and that's why it's your job to make sure you stay above the general crush. And if you can bring others with you, the more power to ya.

This woulda been nice to be a bit more condensed with maybe a bit more thought to it. Still, you got your point across.

When did people ever think of others? People are self-centered, deal with it. Oh, and Christmas predates Christ by quite a long time.
