I dislike the "Hannukah bush" thing. I think that it's a very different holiday and that it's NOT Christmas (much cooler!), so it shouldn't try to BE like Christmas. Jews get gifts during PASSOVER and MONEY and CHOCOLATE during Hanukkah. That's the way it goes. The poem itself is cute and funny though. I like it. =D

Woohoo! Go Chanukah Faerie! (I refuse to type Hannukah becuase of a bad experiece with candles spelled the 'hanhukah way')Anyway, very nice.And funny. 'To those non-Jews, I honestly hope that I did not offend

Since there is no Hanukkah Fairy or Hannukah Bush, why not try writing a version that reflects the holiday as it is. I assume the one you wrote reflects Hanukkah as practiced by some secular Jews that do include a "Hanukkah Bush" in their celebrations and open their presents on Christmas Day.
You definitely have a gift for rhymes and a playfulness with language (I like the chimney/come-ney combo). I also really like the vividness of some of your writing ("ornamental ball")

ERINyou're poem is so cute. it is fun and playful. i think the ryming was cute for this type of poem. i think not rhyming makes things more serious, but i liked the way you did it. the hanukah fairy idea was so cute.
