for My Thoughts on Thinking

Hi Rach! I never thought about that. I can't hear my thoughts, but do I hear them, but that's confusing. Hey Max Krugman, no one cares. Go get some friends and smoke some weed and kill a few more brain cells.

Same thing. Look, if you're going to ramble about inane topics, at least smoke some weed first-it'll come out twice as long and slightly more amusing.

Once, when I was about 12?13?, I think, I wondered to myself how come cartoon characters always think in those thought bubbles, because I didn't think in words. Ever since then, i've not fully been able to go back to thinking without words. Rather, it depends on where the thought is coming from. If it's from me, i.e. actively working up a sentence, like I am for the purpose of typing this out, I can hear my voice, or a crisp British-aristocrat version thereof, resounding against the hollow chambers of my head, though it's not all echoes. It's like the sound is being dampened down by something. If the thought is a spontaneous emotion, it's like i'm bobbing lazily in a bubbling vat of colourful juices (seriously, this is how it feels like). The thought is when a bubble breaks to the surface of the hot soup and bursts, burping itself into my mind. If the though is (*drumroll please*) Inspiration. It's like the bubbles, but with snatches of voices or the perfect word for a sentence, or the sentence itself, or metaphor, mostly with colour and pictures, often with sound. Almost never with smell or touch. This was refreshing.
