I loved this one! Violin music is one of my favorites and I you described it so well - not overdone, not underdone(a skill I have yet to master) Bravo!

This is beautiful! It reminds me I really must try and find myself a violin teacher, so I can make some use of that violin that is sitting forlornly in my study.

I'm adding this to my favourites list!

This was fantastic! I could just imagine myself playing a violin (or rather, someone who was talented playing the violin.) The descriptions were accurate and captured the gracefulness of a violin with seemingly very little effort.

Wow. I've played the violin for 10 years and only recently made the very painful but right (for me) decision to not major in violin performance in college. This poem is exactly how I feel about my own instrument "My muse, my lover, my soul, my friend." Thank you for putting this relationship into words, it's a beautiful poem!

Very well written once again. Your choice of topics is unique as the violin is a beautiful instrument to both play and listen to. Good work.

Hi! I was going to write you a nice email thanking you for your awesome reviews on my story and poem, but you don't have your email listed. :( How sad! In any case, let me just say that I really appreciate it! And, of course, let me pay you back in turn. I'm an instrumentalist myself (flute/piccolo/voice), so this title caught my attention first. I'll comment as I go...

1.) "The sweaty wood smells sweet and calm" - I like the thought, but the rhythm on this line doesn't jive with the rest of the poem. Can you take a look and maybe reword?

2.) "My muse, my lover, my soul, my friend." - This is totally a style thing, and just personal preference, but it felt odd to have this line repeated exactly three times, and so unevenly. It almost felt like either the second repetition shouldn't be there, or there should be an additional repetition between the second and the last. *shrug* Just a suggestion.

Very nice little poem! I like how the descriptions of the physical feel to the violin merge cleanly into the more psychological/emotional issues. Well done! Thanks! -Ruatha

That's an amazing piece of poetry. "Our kiss must finish\Our song must end" is genius! I really enjoyed every bit of the poem, and again the meter is amazingly consistent; there was only one point in the poem in which the number of syllables or anything of the like distracted me from the poem-I did have to re-read "the vibrations meld into my purse", because of the placement of the accent in "vibrations", but I reconciled it to the meter, and I'm positive that it fits really well; your mastery of the words is really impressive. Great, great, rgeat poetry!

Wow... that's amazing. Truly and honestly amazing. This is a profesional's work. The soul of this piece has been created, as if you capture the soul of your instrument and leant it to the paper. Wow.*silver tears stream down my cheeks*Amazing

Squee! Hurry for odes! [claps hands in delight] And you even rhymed. I wanted to thank you for reviewing my couplets (two-liner poems where the word at the end of each line have to rhyme(hey! i rhymed!)) entitled Cry. I don't feel as strongly toward my own violin -I'm more comfortable singing- but I still understand what you mean. Nice word choice. Well done. ^-^

This poem is beautiful! The rhyme is wonderful and it just makes me want to go play a violin (except I can't play, so that would kill the beauty. Oh well)!

I also want to thank you profusely for reviewing "The Feuding of Kitterly" so much. Thanks!

This is exquisite!

I love both the repetition and the rhyme here-natural, flowing and unforced. Just a fabulous, stirring piece of work.

Excellent read... this is exactly what appreciation should be like with music. The sound, the life of it even. If you keep writing like this you will definitely go far. Keep up your skill...

This is beautiful. It reminds me of my violin/fiddle (I havent decided which one I want it to be yet). You are a very good writer. Keep it up! :-)
