I like it. A wonderfully descriptive rendition of skiing. I had an image in my head and I've never even been skiing, so I suppose that means a good job. =) Lovely descriptions, though it doesn't seem as poetic as it does narrative. But whatever floats your boat. Nice! =)

I've never been skiing before but this makes me want too! Very well written. My only criticism would be that repeating 'grinning' was a bit irritating and seemed to make the character seem more cookie cutter-ish. but that's just my opinion :)Keep writing!
