Yes, indeed it has been awhile. I had almost forgto this story.
Anyway, the information was interesting. I was wondering if Kiko's dad was going to be a being of greatness. He was a villain. Geez! That was a bit different. I was going to argue the bit about he chosing eternal life because of unrequited love, but he was out for the vengeance thing. I guess he would need time.
The thing about Tolkien was neat. I was about to think that he was in the land of Faerie with Elvis. Hey, that's where Elvis ended up! Oh well. So, I would think that there are some nasty beings in Faerie as well.

Once again, a marvelous installment! I really enjoyed the description of Chance going into a panic-"in an effort to calm down the raging falcon inside of her." Very, very cool-its both figurative and literal. It was also great to get some more information on the Changelings, as I was a little bit confused at first. The prophecy and Chance's friend add a lovely element of suspense, where before it was more mere curiousity to see where this was going. And NEVER apologize for long chapters! They're the best kind! ^-^ Keep up the good work!

And I greatly appreciate the reviews! I could always check out your reviewers sometime. I am still trying to play catch up with those I do owe.
Anyway, to the chapter at hand. I like this chapter better than the last one, adn Kiana is cool. She reminds me somewhat of Alteng.
I meant to say that I like your chapter titles as well. They remind me of Charles Dickens Chapter titles.
Oh, and Kiko sounds like an interesting girl. She knows too much, mind you! Where did she get her knowledge I wonder, or more precisely, where did her father get it.
I like Mr. Johns too. Eccentric teachers are always fun!

Okay, I am not too keen on the mundane real world kind of thing here, but that is me. To each their own, mind you, and this does not mean that I think it is a bad piece. Strangely enough, it reminds me of the Winks Club show that I have caught glimpses of.
Still, I do like the animal transformations a lot, and I like Chance's feelings about her situation. There is a lot to say for this.
Oh, and btw, I have a character named Chance also. He's a funny little fellow in more than one way, mind you.
And what is wrong with being goth, love. Since goth is a movement of sorts, that doesn't really make one an outcast . . . of course, I am really out there somewhere!

I like this bit of history here. I am not much of a fairy person in as far as the pretty little critters with the wings, but what the hey. Anyway, I found your history fascinating, adn it does remind me of what I am trying to do in The Bane of Rendsberg (They aren't on the as grand of a scale). I also like how you have built the relationship of the different houses and what not.
