=0 I've been reading through your poems and man are they awesome! And yet you keep thinking it's not good enough. Soon the truth shall be revealed before your eyes... Anyway, this poem in particular is amazing. I love you used the snake metaphor for a deciever and the true meaning of strength to stand up to one. Oh, and btw, snake is Nachash and soul is Neshama in Hebrew, so I think it was in Egyptian (pertaining to Seeker of Way's review)

Very emotive. I wrote a poem called 'Snake', but I used the more positive legends relating to them - Egyptian, sanscrit, Celtic, etc.
Blessed Be,

interesting, very different style for you! You missed putting spaces in two words. Like the idea of fangs as syringes. You have some slithery and sharp words here to provide the soundscape of the snake.*Did you know that actually snakes as seen as purveyors of wisdom? Also the word for snake in Hebrew (or was it Egyptian?) is very close to the word for "soul"! There is a lot about snakes, actually. Quetzelcoatal was known as "the feathered serpent"!*But the snake was soon reviled, and changed to seem bad in the Bible to keep us from knowing more by the Church ... weird, huh?

I felt honored to have you review me (how did you get on the favs for 20 people.I only have one!) so I returned it. Thanks, and may you always triumph over the snake! (I'm lazy. That's why I'm not logged in.)
