I'm sure we all long to go back to before and relive or change some things. You captured that thought very nicely with the kaleidoscope metaphor. It does seem like that, doesn't it, falling through colors. I love "How'd these memories turn me into who I am today?" Such a deep thought. Beautiful!

These are the worst types of endings - where we truly don't know what the other person was thinking. Why can't people seem to realize that being honest and upfront is so much kinder than silence?
