narnia that brings back memories. *not that i'm actually that old to see the old one* one very wise person told me not to forsake stuff for the sake of rhyming. but still very good

In response to your A/N... Have you ever tried writing without ryhme? I find it quite relaxing, not having to worry about it. But hey, that's just me. Now, to the poem itself... I like the mood, not sure if it's supposed to be dark or hopeful, but it's cool. Only thing is, it seems a bit forced, like it didn't flow naturally when you wrote it.

I like it. The other line is better even if it doesn't rhyme all the words on the last line that do rhyme are needless in the first place.

*sobs* this reminds me of when I was eight and I'd gorged myself on those Narnia books and I went into my closet and wept "alone in the darkness so glum" ...because there was no world in it. Such a bittersweet, gently despairing feel (if you know what i mean ^^)...and I haven't seen "shadowlands" but I've read all C.S. Lewis' autobiographical stuff so I know the story. Lovely. I do like the original last line, btw.

Aww. It's so sad. I love it. The last stanza is my absolute favorite. I love the whole non-tradional rhyme scheme. Very cool. I also loved the summary. Bravo. I'm speechless.

Hey, thank you for reviewing my new story, I am very excited about that story. As for the Poem, I thought it was great, it could use some mechanical improvement, but overall its really good. I have just posted my second chapter for "Rising Smoke". If you would like to read that would be great. I will read some of your other things and review them before the night ends. And expect to see yourself in the Authors note for the Third chapter sood. Chow.

Wow. Silver tears stream down my cheeks at THAT one!
That's so beautiful. It's dark, silent and unhappy, but there is this air of innocence and purity about. Childlike, if you will.
It's so...touching. I love it with all my heart.
Oh yay! Another LoTR fan! I'm glad to find you, indeed. Right now I'm running through an LoTR marathon...the books, that is. I'm reading The Silmarillion, which I'll follow with The Hobbit, and then... ::dundundun:: The Lord of The Rings. ::yay!::
Oh, okay. This is what you get when you have to chew through The Silmarillion: INSANITY. :D
Well, I want to check out t he rest of your stuff. Will do so -if not now, later.
I hope that dratted Master won't give you much trouble. And the Idiot Hobbit who cooks the fish.

i like how the third line is always one word. its an interesting poem, i read it twice, and i think if i read it again, i'd like it even more than i did the first two times... ^_^ nice job, the end is great.

O maggie... I like this one. The last line was beautiful: "Love? No, but your grief will be shared with someone.." I always love reading your poetry *applauds and waves happily*

I loved the ending of this! It was short, but not simple. Complex feeling expressed with childlike honesty and purity. Lovely to read. Thank you so much for your review! I can't tell you how much it meant to have someone reply so promptly to something that meant so much to me emotionally. So I will return the favor as best I can, please let me know if you have any pieces that you would particularly like me to review. Thank you again, wish I could have gotten "silver tears" but we can't always get everything we wish for ^_^
Bes wishes always,MJC
