There's a certain beauty and elegance about writing and exploring something that isn't present in your life. My brother's friend once wrote a poem about suicide, but he's anything but suicidal. We need to be able to empathize with everyone, or at least try to find some logic in their actions (I think). I can tell you just wrote down what came to your head (for better or worse, no offense).
