sometimes the truth hurts so much that the line between truth & surreality blurs and everything just seems surreal .. those are the times when everything is going so wrong that you can't believe that it could possibly be real ..& I think you're right .. they are the same thing, because the line between them is so so fine & it's so easy for it to become indistinguishable. I guess that's why there are so many people living a lie their whole life.. because somewhere along the way, they've crossed that line & never returned because it's easier to just deny the truth, and pretend, because then nothing can hurt them.
the images you use are breathtakingly beautiful. Truly, this is amazing. I don't understand how you cannot like this.

*I* liked it! I love your description of how they tasted, "like nailpolish remover, like/vodka-burn, like pills, dry and thin." And, in some ways, I think you're right. Every delusion has a particle of truth in it, and surreality and reality should be blended more often. ^^ Keep writin! `~bella~`
