This is easily one of my favourite stories, not just on this website, but in general. It's so well written that you can easily mistake it for something you'd just picked off of a shelf in a book store. Honestly, what I love most is how relatable Adelle and Brent are. Yes, they're popular and crazy attractive - something I can't relate to - but it's their feelings, their pain and their reactions to things that makes them so real. I will never get tired of reading this, and I can't wait to be able to read it from start to finish once the whole thing is complete.
That being said, please update as soon as you can! I'm 700% a hypocrite because I have my own story on here which I haven't updated in God know's how long - time just flies and there are so many real life things to do. But please, I'd love it if you could update whenever you find the chance to. If that's soon? Great. If it's months from now? Also great, I'll still read it as soon as I get the email notification.

You should definitely publish. I would for sure buy this story. I love the dynamic between the two characters and have been following from the start. It would be amazing to see this get published and maybe even made a movie out of some day. You really have a talent and thanks for sharing it.

This is really not what I had expected after maybe a couple years of passing by the link and summary to your story on so many peoples' favorites lists. It's true what they say about us fickle readers, we always love something new and different. And your story is really refreshingly different. First of all, I'm really blown away by your main character. She is at once interesting and painfully relatable. I unfortunately seem to prefer characters who have some of the superficial qualities like Adelle's beauty and her social status (something to do with the vicariousness of the whole process of reading romance stories), but the things I love most about Adelle are 1) when she does nice things for people like swallows her feelings for Lori, 2) when she enjoys that Toni hates Lori, 3) when she imagined gouging Lori's eyes out when Brent told her he loved Lori. Ok, lol that makes me seem like I have some obsession with Lori - i didn't mean that... I think Lori's a good character but I don't think this story revolves around her (fortunately, so good job lol) but I mean I really like when Adelle seems like a realy person, lol. Who hasn't bonded over people who hate people you hate? And when you both hate someone secretly because you can hate them in public, that's the best kind of a bond.
Until a good while into the story... like until after Brent confesses that he loved Lori, I was really really hooked and I really had no idea what everyone was thinking - in a good way. Like, things didn't seem cliched. People didn't act shallowly. For example, the minute Malcolm sees the two together he doesn't start hating them too openly and too predictably - or well, he did, but it wasn't cliched. Like Adelle, I found that Malcolm's mysterious and strong concern didn't totally seem jealous. You did a really good job with everyone's "unreadable" looks. I do remember reading Brent's anger at hearing of the engagement but when Brent confessed that he was in love with Lori I was about as blown away and shocked and envious as Adelle.
Speaking of Adelle... I hope you let her catch a break! I feel like she is always hurting. Let her be in power once! Let her get away from the crazy guy for a moment!
Brent... what a ho. I would feel so insecure as Adelle. How could you trust a guy who tried time and time again to get in your pants as he claimed to love someone else? Even if - ... or ESPECIALLY if he justifies saying, Lori was probably just a crush. Adelle is right, what if she is just another crush? LET HER CATCH A BREAK!
Anyways. I love this so much. It was hilarious. Thank you so much for this!

I like your plot and Adelle's difficulty saying Brent's name was very amusing but the phrase concerning Nero is: 'Nero fiddled whilst Rome burned' not that he sang, and it's a false story anyway.
