Hey! I decided to go read your other story after I read that last update of A Cliche in Training. I just read this all in one go, it seems I do that a lot with your sotries. I want to slap Robin's mum so bad, does she actually know what she's doing to her daughter or is she just obsessed with her being a stick thin model? Three cheers for Don and his telling Brendan. Make Robin eat soon! Please! (I do realize she's only fictional, but they seem so real - rambling agian, sorry). Looking forward to next update! x

This chapter is appropriately timed with events in my life. I just found out the other day that a close friend of mine back home was hospitalized because she was not eating. She said she could not eat because it hurt when she ate, and the doctors found that she has a peptic ulcer, which accounts for the pain. She is back home now, on a series of medications to protect her stomach lining and to reduce acid level in her stomach and antibiotics to kill the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. I'm just glad she will be all right and it is something that can be fixed fairly easily.
Anyway, it was nice to read this chapter because everyone is finally standing up and speaking out. I was proud of Don and Brendan when they stood up to "The Mother." And I am really pulling for Robin to recover and move in with her brother. I do know that you have to be 18 to move out of the house on your own without consent of your guardian (someone I know had to be legally emancipated from her parents to live in university dorms because she was not yet 18). Which would mean that "The Mother" has a pretty strong case for keeping Robin in the house (at least for another year) as far as technical legality goes. However, because of the emotional and mental abuse that "The Mother" subjected Robin to, and the fact that several people can testify to it(Brendan, the sister, Don), the probability of a judge siding with "The Mother" is not very high. I'm not really sure how Robin's anorexia would factor in; I am not really sure if it could be used to prove incompetence or not. And the fact that a) "The Mother" is the cause and b) Robin is seriously seeking help, both work in Robin and Brendan's favor.

I've fallen totally in love with this story. I just love it! I could list a bunch of reasons why I adore it so much, but perhaps I'll save that for another time since I should be doing homework. Heh, heh... heh... heh.
This chapter was rather fun, despite the few serious incidents in it. I love the family/sibling interaction. Anyway, I have a teeny bit of criticism about the French. Not that many people would notice, but there were quite a few grammatical errors in the French conversation between Robin and Don (although some of them may only be because I speak Quebecois French). I won't list them all here, but if you'd be interested in having them corrected (again, I'll mention the Quebecois French thing), I'd be willing to do so. Only if you want, of course.
I'll be anxiously awaiting another update! (Oh, things are brewing!)

My aunt was anorexic and then bullemic and has always had a problem with food. Her daughter, my cousin, now has problems also. She binge eats. When her mom's not around she'll eat a lot fatty foods, and then when her mom's there she'll pick at a salad or something.
