I'm sorry that I couldn't review one of your other, longer stories instead of this one; I really just don't have time to try to keep up with another one (already getting behind on WAY too many of them). :(
But, anywho ...
Wow. That was just so ... wow. Such beautiful imagery - not particularly because of what it was (I mean, you know, rubble and ruin aren't usually all that beautiful), but because of how you described it - and such an interesting idea for a story. Great job with this. :)

To be honest, I enjoyed your theme more than the story itself-but to be fair, I just finished reading C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce"...the same problem of letting go of earthly things (trading the reflection for the reality that is the Creator)was prevalent, and, of course, Lewis had the advantage of being older and more experienced in writing than either of us :P.

WOW. Demon Hunter is an amazing band, and that song in particular is one of my favourites. This story was one of those that really came together at the ending- especially when you read the Bible quote you put in it.
I'm really in awe of your work. O.O
