A very nice poem! I don't think it's really silly at all. I like how you put the waves and the shoreline with thoughts hand in hand, it adds a nice atmospheric effect. In general, I thought it had a great mood to it and was written nicely. In a way it kind of reminds me of a story I wrote of someone walking on the shoreline.
