I liked it. I liked how it was from the POV of a little boy and it actually sounded like a little boy. Many authors can't really seem to get that down; it was well done.
It was sad though, but I enjoy sad.

very sad little piece. At the beginning, i thought it was just about a boy being lost, and I remembered the feeling of letting go of mum or dad's hand for a few minutes and the panic that hits when you can't find them, but then I read the trauma this child is and has endured. I like the naive descriptions...they make the character much more believable. Well done!
