I've only had one real boyfriend. We started spending time together when his relationship with his girlfriend was kinda fizzling out, though nothing happened until he broke up with her. But when I got paranoid during our realtionship, a lot of the time it was wondering, "Will he do to me what he did to her?"
Which is what I think this poem means, sort of. Keep writing.
