This is a fantastic story-there were so many parts that I loved! I really enjoyed seeing Kevin and Danny/Dani grow and evolve, both as people and together. I loved how much they balanced each other out and how they pushed each other to be brave and get out there. I liked their relationship and how Kevin was never really "bad", just extremely immature and needing to grow up. And Dani helped him get there!
Your writing was so much fun to read-you did dialogue so well and I loved the humor that showed up. The story did a great job of balancing lighter with heavier and I liked how so many of the side characters also grew throughout the story.
This was so well done and again, I really enjoyed reading it! Your writing drew me in and the story kept me hooked. I couldn't stop once I had started! I'm just so impressed!

I finally finished the story today, and when I tell you I was hooked from the beginning, I WAS! I usually go for more mystery, fantasy or thriller but I really enjoyed reading this. I was sucked in and couldn't stop reading. So thank you so much for writing and I can't wait to read more.

Intriguing. Its hard for me to find a book where the beginning...the first page, is intriguing and catches me in. I dont have a lot of patience to wait and get through a chapter for it to "start" getting better. I definitely want to keep reading

Ooo, Kevin never realized his family's "dynamics" before? This is like reading a soap opera script! It's MUCH better I think. It's incredible to me that he knows how to read others but is clueless when it comes to family members! He'd be a good Psych major.

Let me preface this by saying I really enjoy this story. It is one of my favorites to reread. In fact, its getting into the double digits. I love the themes concerning consent, homosexuality, gender and the struggles that are placed in front of people from all sides of the sexuality spectrum.
That being said, there is something that bothered me about their relationship throughout the story when I read it this time. Maybe I've just become more sensitive but throughout the story it really seemed as if their relationship was really unequal. It seemed as if no matter what he did Kevin was seen as some hopeless case who had no control over his own decisions whenever Danny/Dani was around. And no matter what the situation or even if Dani wasn't in the right, Kevin was always somehow wrong. It just seemed as if everyone was abusing Kevin's love for Dani and using it as a way to manipulate and control his life while subtly letting him know how much of a waste of space he was with out her. There were points, like when she sprung the ultimatum on him during dinner with his uncle, or when he was blamed for his relationship with his dad (despite the clear verbal abuse) , that were so blatantly emotionally abusive that it sent a shiver down my spine.
Like I said maybe I'm just sensitive because I've been in a situation where my choices were taken away from me by others "for my own good" . Either way, this story is several years old and you probably won't see this, but it was nagging at the back of my brain and I just HAD to comment.
