So I haven't written a review since the first chapter, but I felt like I had to for this one. I'm very disappointed in Kevin. Things were going so great for them. I can't believe he would be that cruel or idiotic. I'm pretty disgusted with his life right now.

Well I sure as hell love this novel/story! It took me a day! A freaking day to read it all. But none the less I stil FUCKING LOVED IT! I was squeling all the time and 'aw-ing' too soo I juzt had to review. Just tell you just how AMAZING this was. I ttotaly loved it and I think ill go to your page and read any more storyes you have here...if you have anymore. Bwel byebye I had. A blast reading this. Loove Chispi

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Typically I don't go for trans stories, but this one was so well done and the characters just drew me in. I couldn't help but fall in love with them, even the secondary ones. I LOVED Dani's mother. When Kevin does something that would normally turn me irreparably against a character, it is handled in a matter that takes the reader on a path that allows us to forgive him. I thought this was very well done. This was a great read.

Cute, of course, again. I think I could start the gay trend... nah, I couldn't. There are... let me count... four openly gay people at my school? Yeah, I don't think that I could... BUT, just to let you know, I'm taking over the world with my gayness. Of course, I could just move to the Coral Islands, but that has to wait four more years. Right, anyway... GAYTIMUS PRIME!

I'd marry Josh if I were straight... ooh, nice job Kevin! Wait, never mind. He's kind of being an ass. I thought Danny fixed that! Kind of awkward conversation with Dad. Just a thought: you can make bad impressions by speaking your mind. For instance, I probably wouldn't like a person very much if the first thing they said to me is that I'm ugly. I hope that Kevin and his dad make up, in any case. I swore that I would finish this yesterday, but then I ran out of time.

Yeah, so I don't go to school until 7:08, and today I didn't go until 7:20 because someone (that we know) offered us a ride, because apparently it's cold. Not really. But yeah, I did go to school. You can stop acting like a father now ;)

wow... corniest chapter title ever.

i just read the last chapter and i'm in the middle of this one. the last one was good, nice almost-sex, loved the emotions (and confusedness). this chapter is... interesting so far. i like how danny's father writes hom-rom. hm... wonder if my cousin danny has a father who does something... nah, he doesn't. danny's mom is SUCH a fag-hag. i love her. i wish my mom was like this.

wow, i can't believe that kevin let himself get kicked out. i tried that once, actually, but my dad forced my mom to stop. literally blocked the door.

again, what a cutie, that mom. shopping with her dragqueen son... cute.

...he spent an hour preparing? sad... holy fuck, first orgasm? what kind of teenage boy/ girl/ trans doesn't masturbate?

on a side note, my crush wore eyeliner today. EYELINER. she NEVER wears makeup. just, like, ah! wtf?

I must say, that was pretty freakin awesome. I love how well this was written, and how into this story I was. Dani flippin ROCKED. And Kevin was lovely. I think you are a fabulous writter, and I wish you well on your writing journey. :)

Yet another of your works that I have read and would have sworn in court I commented on religiously. *frowns* Obviously, did not.

Plain and simple, this is an amazing work. I love the relationship between Kevin and Danny/Dani. They are both so complex and believable as characters, as is their relationship. Danny/Dani is truly a marvelous character.

I guess that would be what I mark this story with: believability. They didn't have the 'perfect beginning'; they didn't have the 'perfect relationship'; neither one possesses either the 'perfect family' nor the 'perfectly awful family'; neither is perfect in himself, but together, they are perfect—for each other, especially as they progress past problems and make it through their difficulties. It was amazing that Kevin could be the kind of person that just didn't care what Danny/Dani was or how he/she chose to express and identify him/herself. It was just what Danny/Dani needed throughout the work (when Kevin wasn't being a bonehead that is XD). And as Uncle Keith liked to point out, Danny/Dani was just what Keith needed, too.

When I think back to this story, there are three things that really stand out in my mind: (1) when Danny/Dani calls Kevin during their 'fight' when he needed help because he wasn't 'gay' enough for his blind-date—pig, (2) when Danny was trying to 'butch up' and the results of that, and thirdly, the 'Me to you' bit in the last chapter. That section and that line, especially, were gorgeous. I don't think that I've ever stumbled upon a cleaner (as in succinct and 'tight'), a more poignant expression of true intimacy. Well DONE! I suppose though, the last chapter's interview with the future first lady was also oh so wonderful. *grins*
