I'll assume this is a poem describing the situation you discussed in a certain forum. Anyway, this is sad, and it makes my heart go out to the narrator, which means that the poem was well written and easy to relate to, which is great. Unrequited love makes this place a sad world, but don't worry, there's plenty of fish in the sea. (Although, who really wants to date a fish?)
