Ah, tragedies get me every time.
Usually, I'm not one for poetry, but this actually tells a story, a lovely one at that. Most poems, in my own, honest opinion, jabber on about ex-boyfriends and some such; their words never actually merging together and making sense. This one is in all contrast of that. I love it

Great poem! It was so sad... I really loved the comparison between the old woman and the neighbors next door, especially because she and her son should have been happy and material-minded like them, in a world without his uniform. Well done!
