for Fat

2/4/2008 c1 Edgar Wellington
I enjoyed this. I was interrupted by someone while reading it and I had to suppress a smile and an urgent wish to continue reading. This is one of those thoughtful pieces that makes a person wish they'd been its author. I like the idea that one wants to be worshipped for something one would never worship.

it can't put into words how much i love this.

it's so cruel, but so insanely true.

I like how honest this was; if it was me writing it, I would have wrote all the personal details, then thought twice and erased them. But this is very personal and that's what makes it so great.

And ain't nothing wrong with fat guys. More to love.

I heard some time ago that the male fish in Tempe had female organs. Apparently there's "something in the water." Sometimes I swear that my breast have grown since I moved to Tempe, other times I confess that it's probably only that my chest got flabby when I stopped working out.

Anyways, this is such a strange, interesting poem. There's not much for me to say. I really liked it and I don't even think I know why.

Oh, and you're not fat, George.

Strange, yet great. I love the feeling put into this. GREAT work!

Oh my God, I just am in love with this poem. All the little details, and the crazy formatting, and just everything...I love it. You missed a couple of things, like the en in men in the line "why was there not a place where fat men were worshipped." and "minstrel" should be "menstrual," unless you meant minstrel, in which case, that's an entirely new story. I am in love with this, though. So crazy and it works. Why you have no reviews is beyond me. I am favoriting this. Keep writing! :)
