Imagine my surprise today when I login to my account and find that my two favorite authors have both removed their work! I went to go look at simonexsays profile and was so heartbroken that I turned to this story (possibly my favorite ever on fp) for comfort only to find that you've been attacked too! I feel bad because I've never left you a review before, but just know that I've been faithfully reading (and re-reading) for a while now! I'm totally heartbroken that you've had to remove your work, but I also completely understand. I feel awful that some people can be so insensitive and selfish that they would steal your completely genius story! I really hope you find a way to publish elsewhere and I'd love to keep reading, no matter whether its another website or buying a book. Best of luck and I'd love to find a way to keep track of whether or not you find another place to continue your work!

This really sucks when your a good writer with great stories people go and plagiarize it. I mean whatever happen to be original. I mean that's why people come here to let they're stories be read they're original. The same goes for other places such as Fan fiction, and others. So if you want to be a writer don't go copying other writers stories. Things like these that we're loosing our best writers to and now that stories are being removed we will never get to see for ourselves why they win the awards that they win or the thousands of reviews and fans. I'd just like to say Myrika that you are one unique writer and by removing stories you did it for the best trust me you and your stories will be missed.

i'm really sorry ot hear that your work has been copied.some people are so...ugh i dont have any words to describe them.i think this is the worst type of stealing.you spent so much effort and time to write those stories and some idiot thinks she can have it all for free. i've read all of your stories some of them more than once.you're one of the best writers here. i'm really sorry that i cant read your stories anymore.maybe you can create your own website and post your stories there? it would be great for all your readers. and if you decide to post your stories again will you let us know? i wish you the best.you are a great writer:)

I set out to spend the next hour or so flicking through BGT (Britain's Got Talent) clips on Youtube, particularly Susan Boyle, in preparation for the start of the semi-finals tomorrow night. It didn't get that far. I'm on the move atm - changing country again, and have no internet in my current housing, so I leeched the neighbours' internet when I turned my PC on, logged into MSN, and got a message telling me that your stories have been removed from fictionpress. Well, screw Susan Boyle.

I understand your frustration and, I guess, despair at all of this. Having had my work plagiarised myself, I know how annoying it is to have someone else claim your work to be theirs, and in my case change the ending of the story, with no respect for the long hours of hard work you put into creating those characters, those events, and that story line.

But at the same time I'm very upset that I won't be able to reread R&R(R) - it's something that I've read every summer since you first started posting it, and now, thanks to some twat's thoughtless actions, that ritual is gone and I no longer get to enjoy something that I did indeed enjoy.

You say that you won't send copies out to anyone because they'll pass them on to someone or other, I understand that too. I just wish that there was some way that I could get my hands on R&R(R) again :( I move around a lot between three countries - and on Wednesday I'm going to be settling in Holland with my second home in France. Now, I don't speak Dutch, I don't know anyone there (apart from my boyfriend), and my summer ritual is out of the window :( Damn these people!

On top of that, if you ever publish, it will be in America and I won't be able to get my hands on the books unless I pay an extortionate price. Argh! Can you tell I'm incredibly frustrated? :p But if you do publish, I would like you to keep me updated about it, particularly for R&R(R) - which has to be one of my favourite stories (as in, the only other book / story I read on a yearly basis is Kit's Wilderness by David Almond). I hope that I'll get to read it again at some point in the close future.

Best of luck with the continuation of your writing.

well shit. I'm truly sorry about everything that has happened, that has got to be infuriating. I hope that you can figure everything out, but if you ever resume posting your stories anywhere let us know :)

I loved your original version and I'm interested to see what you wanted to change. So far, as in Chapter 1, its all thumbs up. :)

The amount of sadness i have right now is huge, but i support the move you have taken because i want to be able to read these stories bound up in a book and bought from borders for $20 :)

Two years ago, my sister got me on this website and showed me a story she simply described as "the shit" (lol) It was mind blowingly awesome and i stayed up all night with my sister, laughing at the lines, crying wth the characters and drooling over the hot guy.

This was the first story i read on fictionpress, and inspired me to sign up and start trying to write [i don't really write stories though, im more of a journalist :) ]

The story was Reason and Romance Redux. by you of course.

I just want to thankyou so much for everything you've written and the endless hours of entertainment you have brought to me, my sister and all our friends.

and for making Alex Montgomery of course.

who is a GOD and is hotter than any of the twilight guys. lol.

thanks again. for everything.

I'm so sorry to hear that your writing has been taken and copied. People can be really ...well, there really aren't words for this situation you are in. People are ignorant, and I suppose they don't consider your feelings, or who they are hurting in the long run. People only care about getting credit and being known, yet they're being known for someone else's work. That's pathetic.

I've read a lot of your work, including R&R Redux, the original R&R, Against All Odds, and Everybody Hates Logan. I wish this hadn't happened, because to be completely honest with you, there are random moments every few weeks, when I'll go back and re-read random parts of your storise. They're amazing. I'm very grateful to have been able to read quite a bit of your work, before you took them down. And I am truly grateful that I was not in the middle of one of your stories, like other people. I don't know what I'd do if I realized I couldn't finish your story. (Which may be why I only read completed stories now a days..)

You are a fabulous writer. And I very much appreciate, as do all of us probably, that you have put up with copiers long enough, so that we could read your work. I don't blame you for taking your stuff down. I hope you will continue to write and maybe in the long run, bless us with your writing again.

I really hope you get published one day - I wouldn't be surprised. Your work is amazing, and you are truly talented. Good luck, and we all hope to hear from you again. (:

Wow, I have the suckiest timing ever, I discovered your story one week ago and finally got to reading it tonight... two days too late apparently (I think I'm cursed, it's the 2nd time a story which spikes my interest gets removed before I get to read it ;_;)

I'm very sorry to read your work has been copied, I'd say "creating is divine, copying is human" but I'm not sure the platitude will bring you much comfort (but still ;)). People doing that are the lowest, trying to receive honours for something which isn't theirs is just... despicable. And very, very low.

That being said, I only read the 1st chappie, and the story and particularly the characters really spiked my interest. The 1st paragraph totally pulls you in with its description, and the introduction of the multiple characters is really well done. It flows very nicely, and even if I've read a few stories on the same subject, it managed to seem fresh and appealing.

The little brothers and sisters are really interesting, being so very adorably eccentric. Except for Meg, because I have to side with Isaac, violence is bad! (Though I would have forgone that to bitch slap her for being an insufferable and rude brat, poor Owen!) Isaac is, by the way, my favourite.

I don't know what to think of the parents yet, or rather, I'm stuck on my 1st fleeting impression of shared annoyance at their behaviour and sense of uni-dimensionality. But there's so little of them, it's really no fair judgement, just an impression.

Alex is so far every bit of the cliché arrogant charmin'-guy-who-knows-he-is, but in spite of sharing Adrian's views on those type of guys, I can't help but find his little silences and sometimes stony behaviour intriguing. I'm going to wait to discover more about Adrian to pass judgement on her (:)) because except the fact that she's sassy and can give as much as she gets, I don't really feel one way or another about her yet. Her character hasn't infused her pov enough, except for the little remarks here and there, for me to tell if I'll like her or not, if she's interesting, original, eccentric or whatever.

Also, I'm not really fond of the way their 1st encounter went. Don't get me wrong, they had to loathe each other right from the start ;), but I'd expected her reaction to be more pronounced (at least inwardly) facing the fact that she will have to live for at least a year with a guy who's a total prick. The exchange of witty (or not) jibes was okay, it just felt a little flat. But then again, maybe it's in her temperament.

I think I'll discover that in case of a reposting, I'd hate to start getting deeply into the story when most of it's missing, the frustration would kill me 8) (Ergo the reviewing based solely on my first impressions)

So best of luck with your future projects, and don't let stupid fools bring you down, go get published dear! X)

Oh yeah! And the idea of the .pdf files is great, I'm just saying =)

hi! I've been reading this story half way.. and it's sad that you have to remove it. But I can understand why too. If I may offer a suggestion, Why don't you try to PDF (Secure) your stories and post them in your own personal website or something? It'll be great for us! ( =P ) and hopefully you can still get feedback. And others won't be able to steal it unless they retype if word by word. or undergo at least a tedious task of unlocking the file. This is a very selfish request because I'd really love to continue reading... but regardles... I wish you all the best! And you have a gift for writing, so I do hope you can get your works published one day. Have fun!

I'm really sorry to hear that work has been plagarised, multiple times. I love your writing style and was really getting into this redux. Your stories are captivating, gorgeous and wonderfully written. I hope you this whole plagarising ordeal doesn't stop you from continuing to write and best of luck with the future. :]
5/20/2009 c5 llashan
Ahh I was in the middle of reading it when the plagiarism note popped up too. I was reading till my eyes weren't focused X) Still, if I'd known, I'd have stayed up till I finished even if it meant dropping dead at my desk! It was really good. Pity I didn't get to continue reading it, but I understand that it had to be done. Bummer.

Anyway I hope things get better for you soon, and you still have us supporters :)

(I think it's kinda flattering nevertheless that people think so highly of your work that they want it as their own. Certainly no one has even bothered with any of mine :P)
