I had saved off writing a review so that I could leave some well-thought-out words at the very end, but all I can seem to say is "WOW! It's finally over."
I did notice that little bit with Caleb explaining why waited for Ashley as long as he did, and although it felt slightly manufactured, it worked well with the mechanics of the story, so good work there.
And now, quite suddenly, I find myself strangely curious as to what their fates are from thence on...
Awesome read. Glad I accidentally stumbled onto it way back when.

Yes! Finally! It's been a long time since the beginning, when she was so caught up over Nate, and I don't think it really struck me until she mentions him in this chapter.
Does she still hang around with cousin? Cody, right?

My, my, how far you've come in a single chapter with the status between Caleb and Ashley. And I loved how you conveniently wrapped up Caleb's reasons for sticking to Ashley through this whole ordeal. It worked really well, actually. Just couldn't help but notice it.
So now I suppose you've gotten the whole thing with Ashley and Caleb worked out. What's left? What loose ends (aside from the wedding, of course) need to be tied up before you call it quits? Man...it's almost over.

Holy shnizers! Some amazing changes.
Yeah, I had been wondering just how long you were gonna take this. I imagine you could've carried it for another forty chapters if your readers let you. Characters' lives are so fun to play with, neh? Still, I'm a bit wowed that already you've decided that to wrap up the plot that you only need three more chapters. I guess you have it all pretty well figured out.
This chapter was good. It was Ashley's turning point. And it lived up to the quote you so chose to illustrate your point (screw trite, it was a good quote). Yes, life has a way of wrecking havoc with our plans.

I feel like, by now, Ashley would have realized she was being an idiot. Or Caleb would have realized she's not worth it. She hasn't done anything substantial to prove to him she's worth the effort. And whatever had been holding her back from the beginning seems to be a non-factor. So what's going on?
