Dear god so stoked you updated this! Arthur strikes me as one of those people who got rich and/or crazy enough to think that they can made up for past transgressions by recreating the past.

Hi, I've read this a couple of times, but never really got sucked into it. I think it was because it was confusing and just all round blurry. But now I understand what's happening and I just understand it all a lot more. I really like this, it's definitely an original story, I haven't heard or seen another that could come close to it.
Arthur is weird, I though he was on drugs in this chapter, he just seemed so... out of it? I normally think of him being a in-the-moment person, calculating I guess would be a better word. But here it's like he's on the moon and nowhere near his body, or anyone else. Does he have family issues, or what? That was a very weird outburst I didn't expect that at all, to tell you the truth.
Milo (I had a chicken called Milo once, she was brown [the colour of Milo] she died though - good chook) is an interesting character, I think I like him but then he hasn't had a major role in the story just yet. He is very reserved though and doesn't show much of anything, and the way he got Steven to talk about his family so easily, and Steven didn't even realize it... He's someone to be careful around.
Trenton - I love his name - that's about all i can say about him. I don't like him at all. He's definitely messing with Steven's mind and it disturbing - he's so much more of a threat than Arthur, or anyone else.
Twitch, he's so cute and twitchy. His name matches perfectly and I rather like it. He seems like the only normal one (kind of) but he tells people things too easily - how he told Arthur everything that Steven had told him - it's just not really safe to trust him... Though I don't think he meant to harm Steven, he's probably just used to telling Arthur everything so he didn't even think anything of it.
I don't know about Cecelia. She just messes with my head. She really just make you feel uncomfortable, she's a puzzle with too many pieces missing, you look for them but they're not in to box... I don't really like her, but her character in the plot seems to fit, so I'll be happy to see more of her.
Well I think that this is long enough for you to look at it then go "yeah I'm not reading that..."

I'd forgotten how much I loved this story! I'm still mostly in the dark as to what's going on, but I don't care because you write it so well! I hope you update soon :)

Even though the updates for this are slow, I'm just happy that this story is still going. So please, take all the time in the world you need, but don't ever stop! :D (Well, until you're done, of course.) I'm very excited to find out what'll happen next, so until next time, take it easy lol. ;)

Hmm. I think this was the best thing that happened to me all day, and I had a /very/ good day today. I am so, so, so, so, so happy that you updated, even though I probably need to go back and read this over again and make sure I know where everything is at plot-wise.
I'm so glad I never had any horrible experiences like that when I was a kid... I mean, I didn't have a perfect childhood or anything, but there was never anything that made me terrified of anything like that.
And what's going on with Arthur? He's acting weird, even by his standards. I think I was kind of frustrated with him in this chapter for just being so... he wasn't even being an Arthur kind of weird. He was weird, but in a different way, and especially when he was "helping" Steven down the stairs I had the strongest urge to slap him.
It's not surprising that Twitch would tell Arthur about their entire conversation, either. It's just something you would expect him to do. But Milo, on the other hand... I don't even know what to think about him.
Until the next chapter then, I shall be waiting. =)

So, imagine my surprise when I went to check my email before work, and what did I see? An update :) I think I’ve never been so happy when I saw that you finally updated! But that was this morning, and unfortunately, I had no time to review (only had time to read the chapter before I had to go to work). It’s a good thing I’ve read your story about five or six times, cause I was able to read through the chapter without any trouble in remembering what happened beforehand. I’ll most likely still read it through again, just cause I want to! Yeah, I’m obsessed ^^
Anyway, this chapter has left me confused, confused, and well, more confused - on Arthur’s character that is. I have no idea if maybe he’s really insane (he’s gotta be, right?) Or perhaps he’s on drugs, cause man, was he acting like he was on something in this chapter. But then again, even someone who did do drugs wouldn’t be so... smart and insane at the same time, right? Because Arthur is definitely smart and very calculative (at least in the previous chapters... I think) hm..., pretty much I’m going crazy wanting to find out what’s happening and what Arthur’s deal is. We will get answers soon, I hope? And then, I’m not sure if I interpreted it wrong, or read wrong or what, but when Milo said this part,
“Arthur, definitely. He sleeps like the dead. And I’d be surprised if Trenton didn’t go back to sleep as soon as he nudged Arthur awake for me.” He stopped talking then, suddenly enough to suggest that he had said too much.
Does that mean that Trenton sleeps either on the same bed, or in the same room as Arthur? Hmm... if I read/interpreted wrong, sorry! But it had me reeling a bit when I came across it. I was surprised. But anyway, for some reason I’m still stuck on the whole ‘manipulation being key’ when it comes to Arthur’s agenda. It’s only a guess, but for some reason that’s the only thing that makes sense for me when I try to think of why he does this or that, etc. But I did notice that it might be possible since Milo had suggested the ‘enforce the positive at every opportunity’ as if encouraging, or acting more good (might not be the right words to describe it...) would show acknowledgment and possible likely behavior in the future if Steven did it again. I don’t think that made sense at all... I can’t really explain. Hm. Well, back to the drug thing, the being sweaty and looking sick might be a sign. But then again, it could have something to do with him being unable to stay awake during the day? I mean, there’s got to be a reason why Arthur only sleeps during daytime...it’s stuff like that that makes me think there’s something otherworldly happening, but I’m not sure if that’s the case or not. I mean he could very well be some insane/drugged-up guy who’s sleeping times are out of whack. But for some reason I still don’t think that’s the case...
Gah, told you I’m confused O: and I’m also rambling incessantly. So moving on before I end the review ^^ I wasn’t surprised when Twitch had talked to Arthur. Everyone in that house seems very loyal to him - or at most, afraid to not be loyal, so it wasn’t surprise that Twitch said something. It makes me wonder what else Steven might have told Twitch, or even what Twitch observed and so on. He actually makes a great tool for figuring out Steven’s character/actions/etc. And it seems as if Steven knows this for sure now, and that he’s on his way to figuring out more that might aid in helping him get out. The thing about the claustrophobia - so glad we finally know why he’s like that. I was so off in my guesses ^^ lol. And I feel really bad for Steven. I know that’s his family, but I can’t help but feel as if they’ve not really shown that they care about him all that much. With his dad obviously being hard on him, and not being close to him at all - practically negligent maybe? And with his mom not trying to fully understand Steven (that’s just a guess on how she acted with him being upset and so on, because clearly that had a tremendous effect on his life - and it seems as if she kind of brushed it aside) And then with his brother, who we already know isn’t the greatest guy. I mean, he chose his girlfriend over his own twin (they’re twins right? I seem to have forgotten that bit, I’ll remember once I reread through it). I don’t know, to me they all seem a bit, selfish and slightly uncaring (which is only a small guess, I mean, his mom might not be the case though). Anyway, with Arthur getting so mad about Steven’s story, it makes me wonder how Arthur’s family was. Does he have one? Did he? Hm... you’ve managed to pile on more questions, even though you revealed a bit of answers in the chapter.
And... I’m a bit afraid at what Arthur might do. First he acted as if he might use the claustrophobia on Steven, or do something dealing with it. And then there was the line: Arthur hummed absently. "Preparations for tomorrow night," he offered. – what’s tomorrow night, and what are they planning? For some reason I got chills - though it could be something simple or perhaps just them leaving because maybe, the police are looking for Steven? Hm... Oh, and I also wonder what Steven’s job will be. I’m not gonna lie, I’m hoping for some smut soon (involving Steven and Arthur... sounds so hot ^^) and I’d love his job to pertain to that, but I don’t think that’s where you’re going. And if not, I still hope for some smut, though I’d read the story even if it didn’t have any ^^
Oh wow, I’ve really rambled. I’m so, so sorry! You’re probably annoyed at having to read so much. Pretty much, I loved that you updated (thank you, thank you, thank you!) And loved the new chapter (you’ve managed to make me more hooked on finding out what happens and what’s going on). Please don’t take more than a year for the next chapter because I think I might die, seriously O: And lastly, I look forward to the next chapter :)

Other than their initial meeting, I think this is my favorite chapter to date. I really enjoy the interaction between the characters, especially since you're so good at throwing curve balls, plot-wise; I never know what's going to happen next. :) Can't wait for more!
