Okay so I've finally finished reading this amazing story. I've laughed, I cried...sobbed even, I've smiled, I've been upset, and that is everything I story should do. You are perfect, this is perfect. I have never read anything like it and probably never will again, I love you for writing this. I fell in love with Seb and Madeline, and everyone. This is just the cutest story I have ever read, I will have to save it on my ipod and keep re-reading it. It just made me so happy reading it. I dunno...it's daft, it's just a story but I've been going through some romance shit of my own - admittedly not like this but knowing how hard they tried to be together and against all odds, how much they loved each other it just kind of gives me hope you know? I thank you for writing this. I will never forget this or you or the characters. This is the only story I have ever cried at, yet I loved every single moment of it! I wish you best for the future.
Yours

Sebastian, for all his perviness, is such a lovable person. I don't know how Madeline is resisting him.

Yay! She finally remembered! And I'd betting that the mysterious stranger in her bed is none other than Mr. Bear? Haha! This is a really great story! You're writing style alone has just drawn me in so completely. I'm so absorbed into Madeline's character and Nolan's character made me laugh. I have high hopes for this story and will probably stay up most of the night reading it. XD

Why did I put this off for so long?! I had first bookmarked it like in June or something, but every time I read the reviews - to make sure it had a happy ending - and the summary I always imagined this really weird story. Like, I imagined Sebastian as Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon - if you've seen it -, Madeline as this legitimately crazy, hyper girl who could see things, and I thought Eros would be a mix between Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And then I honestly thought that Sebastian was for real imaginary and I just couldn't fathom how I'd like a story where the girl ends up with a guy who isn't even real. So then, you know, you have so many reviews praising your story and I had been craving a really good story for a long while so I thought why not? Well, hopefully you've read the first review I left; I was hooked after just two chapters!

I don't even know where to start with this. Let's go with the story. First 14 or so chapters, not much was happening except Sebastian and Madeline getting reacquainted, which I LOVED don't get me wrong, but I thought this was going to be just a very romance-y type of story. I thought all the conflict would arise from some romantic issue, like cheating or being a commitment-phobe - which you admittedly did have - but I thought it would all center around that only. So then you had that plot twist and I'm like 'excitement-overload!' because it was amazing. I thought it would detract from the story, initially, but I really liked how you created these worlds. First of all, Madsy and Sebastian getting to Eros was awesome because that place just sounds like a dream come true. I mean, I have no idea why Sebastian would leave that for the mortal world, but then there's the Lowlands. So you have us reading about the Lowlands and I'm thinking 'well, Jesus Christ, what kind of childhood did this girl have to be able to come up with something as gruesome and depressing as this?' I still don't know the answer, but I'm glad you were able to create those worlds because it really made me feel like I was there seeing those things. Heck, you almost had me believing they were real.

The idea of imaginary friends was also intriguing. Like I said, I thought Sebastian was truly non-existent. But, along with the whole world-creating, I really enjoyed how you created that type of life. How they're assigned kids and they imagine these great things and they go away when they're not needed anymore. It kind of reminded me of the boogeyman movie from Disney. I don't know if you've seen that either, but it's kind of old and it has somewhat the same idea behind imaginary friends and what happens once they stop believing. But then, of course, Sebastian isn't imaginary, is he? I just thought it was awesome.

Not only that, but I was so amazed at how you were able to keep this entire story connected from beginning to end. Well, you did have some errors, like you kept on changing the age at which Sebastian and Madsy had their separation. It ranges from 8-11 years old. You also changed their meeting place. First it was the park and in the second it was in her backyard. One time she was crying and in the second she was smiling and laughing. Going back to the seamlessness of the story, I loved how Nolan was a big part of this even though he didn't really come out and then the revelation at the end corresponds perfectly with everything that Sebastian says from when he first appears to the end. There's also Lucian Boom, Fern, Dylan, and even the foreshadowing of the party. I mean, I just love it when authors can create a fantastic story that makes sense from the beginning to the end and you did a perfect job at that.

So onto the characters. Nolan. You had me fooled. First two chapters I thought he was a great guy, great friend, brutally honest for the better good, and just a great person to have around. But then he's so mean to Madsy! Like, he thinks he's superior and he's constantly belittling Madsy that I just wonder how he kept that part of himself hidden from her for so long, especially once I read about how he was when he was younger. I mean, he's not cruel down to the bone, because he did eventually remember he'd gotten something for Madsy from Italy, but he's just not a good friend for Madsy anymore. They're not compatible.

Sebastian, however, is a million times more than compatible with her. Sebastian. Where do I start with this boy? I'm sure you get this enough, but I loved this boy. I absolutely adored this boy. I was right in that I would love his character. He's just...great. I see now how perfectly the title for this story fits, too. I laughed so hard and so much in chapter 3, when he was first introduced. He's a freak, yeah, but what makes him so great is that he's so childish and blunt. He has this type of innocence, which is entirely faked as we know now because the kid's a freak, and it's just so adorable. There's also the way that he was so adamant in trying to get Madsy to be able to imagine again that I just loved his character more. He wants his Madsy to go back to how she was before the world - Nolan - fucked them up and separated them. It was almost sad, too, how Madsy didn't remember anything about him while he was suffering for a decade in the Lowlands thinking of nothing else but Madsy. But then he comes back and he's so forgiving, sweet and protective, that I can't even imagine him ever being in a place as horrible as the Lowlands. Which reminds me, I just loved his jealousy. I mean, most of the time it's exaggerated in other stories, but it made sense with him. He's dedicated his entire life for Madsy and then when there's any doubt in his mind that he's going to lose her, he gets frantic. Like a lost puppy. Haha. Also, when Madsy unwittingly forced him to think about what it'd be like if she was kissed by someone else, and his understanding...I just. I don't know. I felt for them. He changed so much in the last chapters though. I guess it makes sense considering the circumstances, but I missed his childishness. But he had to be serious, so I get that and then he reverted to his old self in the last chapter which is awesome. I loved him all the way through.

Okay, so Madeline. I told you that I related to her so much. And I did, throughout most of the story. I liked how you emphasized her cynicism towards people and how sad/mad she is about not having made more friends. She was also so great in just her personality. She was funny, she cared for her brother and sisters, she loved her mom, and she was a loyal friend. Everything she said had purpose and the way she dealt with her relationship with Sebastian was awesome. She was wary at first, and didn't fully commit until she knew the truth and even then she consulted with people. She's distrustful, but Sebastian and his way of life changed her. I don't even know what to say about her except that she was great. She developed perfectly, she reacted to situations in a way so that her characteristics were consistent, and she dwelled on the important things and understood things quickly. She was just a great character and I really loved her.

Side characters were awesome too. David with his cuteness and absolute acceptance of Madsy. Her mother! Awesome lady, I have no idea why anyone would ever leave her. Ezra and Lucian were awesome and I'm going to read their story next. Gray with his jealousy and soft interior. The twins, superficial, but caring underneath. Seb's parents - both of them were awesome!

I loved how those side characters weren't there just to fill up roles, either. They were truly complex and had their own stories. They also contributed important aspects to the story and I'm glad you included them and made them have their own personalities. Even Ames, Angela, Benny, and Yorkie - who only appeared briefly - seem to have bigger parts. It really gave a lot more depth to the story and makes it even worse that the story's over.

I also loved the wedding at the end. It was very creative and original and I enjoyed it immensely. The sex scene, however, had me grinning so widely. It was great! It was so much foreplay, though. It was like, 'oh, yes, we're about to have sex' and so they did so many things it took multiple paragraphs, but then the actual act comes and it's in, out, bam!, done. Haha, but seriously, it was great. I'm glad they finally did it after 19 chapters of anticipating it.

Seriously, I can't believe I put this off for so long. You're a very talented writer, never stop!, and now I'm off to read more of your stories. Also, I only write huge reviews for the stories that I absolutely loved. I've only done this twice before, out of like 200 stories, so yes, that's how much I loved this and I thank you a million times for writing this and for creating those amazing worlds, all those amazing characters, and especially Sebastian and Madeline :D

It's weird, but I'm so excited for this story!

I don't even know what to say. I feel like I relate to Madeline so much, which has never happened to me before, and I just...I just understand her. I don't know, but she's nothing like how I expected her to be and I'm glad for that because she's complex and this is saying something considering I've only read two chapters.

Nolan is a great friend. Sure, he was mean, but he's blunt and I appreciate that in a person. He seems like a great guy.

Sebastian has only said one sentence in this entire thing, but that combined with the drawing of him jumping in the air, has made me completely ecstatic about his presence in this story.

I feel like I'm going to love this, so I'll review again in the last chapter and confirm this when I'm finished reading.

Hi again,

I need to vent, or hypervent.

Or, I should stop getting so hyped up about these things altogether. It reminds me of the time when "Hunger Games" came out, and I was ripping furiously through the book because I thought it would be a ripoff of "Battle Royale." To this day, I still cannot tell if it is or isn't, ever after reading both.

Getting to the point... I know I've reviewed before, but I happened to come across James Patterson's "Sundays at Tiffany's" today. When I read the summary, my eyes bulged, and I found myself totally affronted. Making a beeline for Fictionpress, I read in someone else's review that they think JP's book is a ripoff of your lovely story. I was fearing the same thing, so I went and downloaded both the movie and book to mourn and rant over.

While there were similarities (lonely girl imaginary boy unconventional love story), I was relieved to find that yours was infinitely better in my honest opinion.

But for my mental health, I am proceeding to reread your story for the millionth time just so I can reaffirm the awesomeness that is your story. MadsyxSebbie for life! :)
