Yeesh! A vampire overlord, a robot gunman built by a mad scientist and zombies. All in the first chapter!
Oh yeah, I'm going to keep reading this.

I love this. So many great ideas rolled into one. You make a passing reference to a Vampire Lord! Not to mention there is a machine man that gets hit by a train!
Zombies.
I like Clark's gruff tact. He shot that elder without a second thought, then he almost kills Charles. He also has a sense of wit too. He's going to be a fun character to keep up with!
I've got a lot to read if I'm going to catch up to where the story is now!

Aw! That was... Sweet and scary... I swear, I don't think I've ever been that scared while reading. I kept telling myself "Read on and you won't get any nightmares".
Charles is so sweet. He is like the highlight for me to read this. I take it, he would be nine by that time?
I'm kinda sad that we didn't get to hear more about Charles dad, only that he was eaten. But wouldn't he become a living-dead too? Hah... Guess some of the things confuses me.
I found a few errors in the spelling, but nothing serious. You could find that in any other book too!
Wuhu! Gonna read next chap/story. :)
*Thumps up!* And thank you so much for writing this.

A great story, I really liked the historical period and mythology you picked out for this one. I've always been pretty interested in Japan, especially the samurai and you portraying them at their end and comparing them to the very things they were fighting was nicely done. I gotta say this chapter really cracked me up when Clark's boots and hat start coming alive. He just seemed so unsurprised when he said, "Damn shoes came to life!" and I was really cracking up when he accepts that his hat has a face by merely saying "That it does." This story had everything I've come to expect from Clark Reeper, history, mythology, action, adventure, motivational speeches from everyone's favorite little jewish voice of reason, and some good laughs. Great job.

Nice to see Clark Reeper meet an old foe. One minor comment is I think the Boshin Wars were largely over by the 20th century, and the samurai were formally abolished. Hopefully his trip to the Philippines is also kick ass.

Ehehe... Virginia City. Somehow, reading something set so near where I live gives some sort of creepy perspective.
Noah really was dumb for an old vampire... He ran straight at his death (or whatever you call it).
As for Constance. Well, "lol" describes the ending pretty well.

Lovely! I really like how you characterize Clark Reeper, especially his candidness and touch of sardonic humor. I also enjoyed 'Fire-Eyed Dick' very much, as well as the end of this little episode.
I'm glad you got published! This already seems a great work, just from the first chapter that I've read, and I'm eager to continue!

Very cool chapter! Crime lords, a John Woo homage, and some awesome gun play. A fun retro blood opera. Looking forward to Japan!
