This is probably just personal preference, but when you submit things like this: rants, free verse poetry, etc...Keep the emphasis (bold, underline) sparse. Let your reader hear the emphasis from your writing. Too much underlining and bolding can be confusing and make the reader feel directed.
On the plus side, I really liked this piece. It's minimalistic and refuses structure for the sake of, well, pointlessness. Using structure (or lack of) to make a point is just great, great writing.
