This is what I liked. You had a foreign language in your story. It shows you actually researched a bit (or maybe took up the language) for this story. Thus, as a reader, I can see the effort you put into it.

Written like a real book. Very knowledgeable with the French language and the history stuff. A pleasure to read. It had speckles of humor and the it was so sad... I really enjoyed and I hope you write more if you were planning on doing so.

it’s a good thing i know spanish or otherwise i wouldn’t had understand this short tragedy. Jjst one chapter and i was already attached to the characters. i liked this one better.
