Even though I didnt complain about the original chapter (even though i didnt like it; i thought it would have been rude to say so) I absolutely adore this one.

my favorite part of this story was actually the last chapter, before you revised it. the soulmate information feels tacked on and out of character. june was the first of your characters who had a relationship that truly went beyond lust and magic, and the revision erased that. don't get me wrong; i like happily ever afters just as much as the next girl. but the previous version gave june a chance to transcend the boundaries of a romance, and to discover a part of HERSELF that she loved. give your readers a little credit; it's okay to have a story that doesn't totally resolve itself. life doesn't work like that, and it seems unfair to your very three-dimensional characters to make the ending of their story an unrealistic cliche.
(ps: i LOVED the rest of this story. i would have reviewed earlier, but i couldn't think of anything to write beyond a couple hundred smiley faces, and you already had about 10 reviews anyway. thanks for posting it.)

I liked this ending much better - it felt more real, and had a bit more flow to it, i think. Also, I'm ridiculously happy that you decided to do a story about Calc and Jessica, since I've been in love with them since the V word and was sorely disappointed when you said you wouldn't write their story... anyways, good story, can't wait for the next!
