I was really excited when I saw the words "New Update" in my inbox, but now I'm really sad for you.

This story was amazing, and It makes me really mad that someone would do that.

The amount of disrespect for artists like you (an artist of words of course) on the internet amazes me.

People like that don't seem to understand that they are stealing something that is dear and precious, not only to you but to everyone who enjoys reading your work.

I hope you well in the future and better luck with incidents such as these, along with the hope that that luck wont be necessary.

I also hope that, whatever you do, you keep us, your loyal readers, updated in the future on whatever actions you take with this story.

I think you should report to fiction press and other sites where you posted that your story has been stolen through the: report member user/spam (it appears if you press help below the Sign In and Sign Up links) it will alert administrators to the problem. I also think you shouldn't post more chapters, it makes me sad to say this since I love this story so much, but if those mean people are going to act like that, you should do the best you can to protect your stories, and if that means not sharing the ending with the readers, I support it. Of course there are websites like livejournal and etc, that will only allow people to read your stories by password or by adding you as a friend if you so wish. This way you can control those blackmailing bullies. I also think you should copyright your stories, this attack they are doing is seriously illegal and they shouldn't get away with it :)

That's just . . . wow. Nothing makes me madder than someone completely defacing an authors work. I loved this story, it was wonderful! I usually wait till the last chapter posted to review, but I didn't even get that far, thanks to this jerk. Don't give up hope! Keep writing, you've got way too much talent to waste it because of this idiot! I agree with everyone else, when you find a way to re-publish NST, let us know!

With so many devout readers, it's hard to believe one reader could have such a devastating effect. And such bad timing too- I was just about to reread and review this fic, which I'd read last summer before I had an account. (Besides, I like to read fics through before offering advice, so I can see how everything contributes to the big picture.) Even though the big picture is gone, I'll try to critique what I remember.

Uri: an adorable, confused half boy, half man. He's imperfect (AKA oblivious), which makes him particularly endearing. I'm sorry I can't cite specific instances (hopefully when this is reposted elsewhere, I can review in more detail). I do remember randomly wondering if Uri could drive- since in the US, we can drive when we turn sixteen. And whatever happened to Dan/Nancy- not that I don't like the Dan/Rane pairing better, I was just curious. Or maybe that was covered and I'm just forgetting.

Shawn: my favorite character, dark yet heroic. While Uri is open yet oblivious, Shawn is his perfect foil: closed yet teeming with knowledge, of his true parents, for example. I loved his background, and while I didn't love the attempted rape (since rape is terrible in reality), I felt it added depth to his character. The suicide attempt, while also horrible in reality, was one of my favorite parts. Which is why I was so excited to read about his recovery and the boys' eventual revelation to their parents. (Some day, I still hope to.)

Without the text, I can't micro analyze each chapter, but I remember one suggestion I was going to make was that the Rane/Uri sex scenes be shortened, since some parts were a bit long without adding much to the story. Now that I've read more smut scenes, I don't know if I'd say the same thing. If you repost, I'll see if I'm just not remembering right.

Let's see... there were lots of little parts I loved... Skipping Beauty, the picture of a cactus Uri sent... That I remember this stuff at all after not reading this story for over a year proves your story certainly was memorable! I was going to recommend you get it published, but that seems to be quite the issue right now...

While we're on that thread of thought: whoever did this has no authority whatsoever to copy this. I'm pretty sure if you look in the fiction press Terms of Service, you'll find that what they're doing is illegal. And, to be honest, immature. I sincerely hope you resolve this crisis, and even more so, that you'll let all of us know where and when you intend to republish this. I'm hoping you can put it back on fiction press eventually so that I can review it, but if not, let me just say this was one of the first fics I read and to this day, it remains one of my favorite, even if only the first chapter remains. Please please please keep us up to date! I can't wait to reread this! And feel free to PM. (Especially if it comes with a scene from the story- okay, I'll stop begging now before I start sounding like an addict.)

This saddens me greatly, but I understand why you had to do what you did. Please don't stop writing this wonderful story and I hope you give us a link to the new site you might be putting it on. You could maybe make your own site with a password and only give out the password to people you trust. That's what someone I knew had to do, because people kept on stealing her work. People have to ask her personally for a password. And having her own site has helped. Hope my suggestion helped. Whenever you decide to do whatever needs to be done, post it on your profile or in a new chapter if possible. I seriously want to be kept informed.

Wow. Losers? Talk about absolutely zero respect for a writer.

...I understand your decision. Is it possible that you're going to put NST up on this paid website? D:... if so, I'll definitely have to work up the funds to get on there and read it. I can't go on not knowing what happens.

What you could do with the future chapters if you don't plan on adding it to the paid site, is use google documents to publish it, and that way only people you give the link to would be able to see it. Though... that might be more trouble than it's worth considering all the people that want to read it.

Anyway, just throwing things out there! I'm sure there are other/better ways to password protect things like this too. I really hope you come up with something, and good luck writing as always!
