This is really cute so far. =] I like the idea that they purposefully set out to fulfill a cliche.
My only critique is that I find the commas before and after dialogue a little unnecessary.
I like this so far though. Keep on writing! =]

Ooh, I like it so far. I like the thought of using a cliche idea, but not in a way that someone would normally would. I loved Rachel and Fred- completely hilarious.
Just a few pointers: Watch out for run-on sentences, there were a few in this chapter; and also make sure to reread some parts of it, because while the reader knows what you're talking about, sometimes you would leave a word or two out.
Other than that, beautiful! =)
