Wow. I really, really love the idea behind this - you've done really well, and I think the way you've written this has captured the fleeting nature of everything in the story. I loved all of the characters - they were both good and bad in some way, which, really, is the essence of human nature.

Unfortunately, this brisk style kind of requires you to sacrifice other things, like details, description and, to some extent, character development. I would have liked to see the what the worlds were like, and discover what Lilia, Daniel and June were, exactly. For some reason I imagine them to be something akin to ancient Grecians, haha.

Anyway, well done, I think you have a wonderful story here.

Hey,

It's good to hear from you! I'm submitting this unsigned because I've forgotten my password and neither of my email addresses are registered, apparently - as you may gather from this, it's been quite a while since I've been on fictionpress. I've started writing short fiction with a more serious intent on publication, and have in fact had several pieces published by some small online and print venues. You can find out more at http:/alankria. - livejournal is where I hang out these days.

I'm quite busy at the moment, as I have a full-time day job on top of wanting to write (my current project is a fantasy novella) and play computer games and have a social life, but I definitely intend to check out /The Music of the Spheres/ when I have some time. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends, finally! (And don't feel bad about the delay. Stuff gets in the way, I know.)

Oh! You might be interested to know that I took the short story /Genesis/ and wrote it into a longer story, which I posted on livejournal: http:/oldstatues. At some point I intend to continue from where /Statues/ ends and write at least a short novel if not a full-length one. (Thanks for the reviews, by the way. It's quite odd to get reviews for things I wrote so long ago.)

I hope all is well with you, and feel free to email me or contact me through livejournal, or PM me through (I still get those even if I can't log in).

Best,

Alankria (Alex D M)

I totally wish I had perfect pitch, life would be so much easier that way. I think what you've done here is really really original and it took a creative mind like yours. Keep writing
