I have many gay friends and absolutely refuse to talk to anyone that is even remotely against them. They are not any different from you or I, nor are they 'disgusting' or 'gross'.
I personally am strong in my faith. That is to say, i am catholic. Many people assume that because i'm catholic, i am against homosexuals. They could not be more wrong. They say that "God is against it. It says it in the bible, so why aren't you?" And to this i always answer, "The bible is people's interpretation of the word of God, not the word of God itself. For if it was the word of God, God would have written it."
If i may quote a man well renowned in society, "Love looks with the heart, not with the mind. And therefore is winged cupid painted blind." Shakespear tells us that love doesnt see, that love is blind. If love is blind, then why are we restricted by what only our eyes can see?

I TOTALLY agree! This should be said more often! Well, I'm from the Netherlands, all of this is more accepted over here, but when you hear that gay marriage (and being 'gay' for that matter) isn't accepted, it makes me angry. Why should they be treated differently? At times like these, I'm glad I'm living in the "free" Netherlands... Good job!
