I like it. Seems a bit short, though... -prods you- I like the concept; I've seen it done, but not overdone. Keep at it... I can't offer too much constructive criticism this early.
How does he speak her language, though? You might want to do a short spot on the techie aspects, but don't infodump. I like your attention to detail most of the time, but you might want to do a little more detail on the setting.
